AUTO
Quoted across carriers, Inot one at a time.
Auto insurance is the policy people shop hardest and understand least. The premium is easy to compare. What the policy would actually do after a serious accident is the part worth twenty minutes.
WHAT IT IS
Liability, collision, comprehensive and the one most people skip
Every auto policy is really several coverages bundled together. Liability pays for the injuries and damage you cause to other people, and it is the part the state requires. Collision repairs your own vehicle after an impact. Comprehensive covers the rest — theft, hail, fire, a deer, a tree.
The coverage people most often skip is uninsured and underinsured motorist. It pays your injuries when the driver who hit you had no insurance, or nowhere near enough of it. Given how many drivers carry only the legal minimum, it is frequently the most valuable line on the page and among the least expensive.
State minimum liability limits are set low. They were set a long time ago and medical costs have not stood still. A single serious injury claim can pass the minimum limit quickly, and anything above it becomes your problem personally.
Who it is for
Any licensed driver, and any household with more than one vehicle.
Legally required
Liability cover. The state minimum is well below what a serious accident costs.
Most overlooked
Uninsured and underinsured motorist cover.

Is this you?
- You have not compared your auto premium in more than two years.
- You are carrying state minimum liability and have never thought about it.
- You have teenage drivers joining the policy.
- You are moving between states and need cover that transfers cleanly.
- You have home or renters cover somewhere else and have never tried bundling.
If any of these sound familiar, a 10-minute conversation will cost you nothing and probably answer more than you expect.
WHAT WE HELP WITH
What a DVH review covers
01
Liability limits
What you carry now against what a serious injury claim actually costs, and what sits exposed above the limit.
02
Collision and comprehensive
Whether each still earns its premium given your vehicle’s current value, and what deductible fits your savings.
03
Uninsured and underinsured motorist
The coverage that protects you from everybody else’s minimum policy, usually for a modest premium.
04
Personal injury protection
Medical costs for you and your passengers regardless of fault, and how it interacts with your health plan.
05
Multi-vehicle and bundling
Where combining vehicles, or pairing auto with home or renters, genuinely lowers the total rather than just the headline.
06
Renewal review
Re-shopping at renewal instead of letting a policy drift upward year after year.
Common questions
What cover am I legally required to carry?
Liability cover, at the minimum limits your state sets. We will show you where those limits sit against the cost of a real claim.
What is uninsured motorist cover?
It pays your injuries and sometimes your vehicle damage when the at-fault driver has no insurance or not enough. It is one of the most useful lines on a policy and one of the cheapest.
Should I drop collision on an older car?
Possibly. Once the vehicle’s value approaches the deductible, the coverage can stop being worth its premium. We will do that arithmetic with you.
Does bundling actually save money?
Often, but not always, and not with every carrier. It is worth testing both ways rather than assuming.
My teenager is about to start driving. What changes?
Premiums rise sharply, and the variation between carriers for young drivers is enormous. This is one of the best moments to re-shop properly.
