SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS
You built it. Now protect it.
Group health, the tax-advantaged alternatives, and the coverage that keeps the business
standing if something happens to the person holding it up.
Is this you?
- You want to offer health coverage but a traditional group plan looks impossible.
- You are losing good people to employers who do offer benefits.
- If something happened to you, the business would stop — and so would everyone's income.
- You have partners, and no written plan for what happens if one of you leaves.
- You are a veteran-owned business and you would rather work with another one.
If any of these sound familiar, a 20-minute conversation will cost you nothing and probably answer more than you expect.
WHAT WE HELP WITH
What we work through with owners
Some of this is insurance and some of it is structure. We will tell you which is which.
01
Group health options
What a small-group plan actually costs at your headcount, and whether it is the right tool for you at all.
02
ICHRA and QSEHRA
The reimbursement arrangements that let you fund employee coverage without running a group plan. For a lot of small employers this is the better answer.
03
Key person life
If the business depends on one or two people, insurance on those lives keeps the doors open while everyone works out what comes next.
04
Buy-sell funding
A written agreement is only half of it. The other half is the money to actually execute it, which is what the policy funds.
05
Business and commercial coverage
General liability, property and commercial auto through referral partners, with a full property and casualty offering from January 2027.
06
Benefits that retain people
Dental, vision, accident and supplemental coverage cost far less than replacing a good employee.
Common questions
How small is too small?
Not small at all. We work with owner-only businesses, and ICHRA or an individual plan often beats a group plan at that size.
What is the difference between ICHRA and a group plan?
A group plan is one policy you buy for everyone. ICHRA is a tax-free allowance you give employees to buy their own. Which one wins depends on your headcount, your state and your team — we will model both.
Do I have to offer coverage?
Under 50 full-time employees, generally no. Most owners who do it are doing it to keep people, not because they must.
Can you handle our general liability too?
Through referral partners today. A direct property and casualty offering opens in January 2027.
Is there a fee for this?
No. Carriers pay the agent. The review and the modeling cost you nothing.
We are a veteran-owned business too.
Then you already know what it takes. Mention it on the call — there is usually a shorter conversation to be had.
