sit with a person, explain the choices honestly, and let them decide. 18.5 years in the Navy. SERVED 10 Years recruiting and counseling. 4 years in Recruiting/College Admissions and Twelve years and counting in insurance

1987–2005
United States Navy
Enlisted in 1987 and served 18.5 years, reaching Chief Petty Officer (E-7). Spent the second half of that career as a Navy Career Counselor, sitting with sailors and their families to explain their options and let them choose. Served as a fast-track E-7 in an E-9 billet at Commander Navy Region Northeast, and was the duty officer in charge on September 11, 2001.

New Hampshire College, Manchester — earned while serving.

Navy Career Counselor of the Year
Recognized twice for the same work he does now: education, not pressure.
2009–2013
Education admissions
Master Admissions Counselor at Westwood College and Senior Admissions Counselor, then Assistant Director of Admissions, at ITT Technical Institute. Admissions Counselor of the Year in 2009 and 2011.
2010s
Inside the carriers
More than a decade in insurance, first on the carrier side with Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna, then as a licensed independent agent.

AVIA-1/10 starts with one person building a team of ten. Our vision: 100, then 1,000, then 10,000 members over time. The mission is to serve Veterans, Active Duty and Military Spouses, Seniors, Under-65 families and Small Business owners with honest education — and to show people from 18 to 85 that a part-time, home-based business can give them more money and more time. The vision is a national network of AVIA agents, each one running the same system under their own name.
