SENIORS (65+)
Medicare,explained properly.
and most of it is designed to confuse you. We will go through it once, slowly, in plain
English — and you decide.
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options. AVIA is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program.
Is this you?
- You turn 65 in the next twelve months and the letters have already started.
- You are on a plan you picked years ago and have never checked since.
- Your doctor or your prescriptions changed and you do not know if your plan still fits.
- You are still working past 65 and nobody has told you what that means for Part B.
- You simply want someone to go through it once, without being sold to.
If any of these sound familiar, a 20-minute conversation will cost you nothing and probably answer more than you expect.
WHAT WE HELP WITH
What we go through together
Scope of Appointment with you, as CMS requires.
01
Medicare Advantage
What Part C actually is, how networks work, what the extra benefits are worth, and the trade-offs nobody mentions in the ads.
02
Medicare Supplement
Medigap plans alongside Original Medicare — what they cover, how pricing changes with age, and when the window to switch matters.
03
Part D prescriptions
We check your actual prescription list against the formularies, because the cheapest premium is often not the cheapest year.
04
Turning 65 and timing
Initial Enrollment Period, what happens if you are still working, and the late-enrollment penalties that follow people for life.
05
Dental, vision and hearing
The three things Original Medicare does not cover. We explain what standalone coverage costs and whether it earns its premium.
06
Final expense and life
Small, simple policies that cover a funeral so the bill never lands on your children.
Common questions
What does this cost me?
Nothing. There is never a fee to you for a review or an enrollment. If you choose a plan, the carrier pays the agent.
When is Annual Enrollment?
October 15 to December 7 each year, for coverage starting January 1. There are other windows too — turning 65, moving, losing employer coverage — and we will tell you which apply to you.
Do you work with every Medicare plan?
No, and neither does anyone else. We do not offer every plan available in your area. For a complete list of your options, contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE, or your State Health Insurance Assistance Program.
What is a Scope of Appointment?
A CMS requirement. Before a licensed agent discusses specific Medicare plans with you, you confirm in writing which types of plan you want to talk about. It protects you, and we do it every time.
I am still working at 66. Do I need Part B?
It depends on your employer’s size and your coverage. Getting this wrong creates a penalty that lasts for life, so it is worth ten minutes to check.
Can my spouse join the call?
Please bring them. Most of these decisions are household decisions.
Let's start with ten minutes
No cost, no pressure, and nothing sold on the first call. We listen first.
